Deadpool 2 actress Zazie Beetz has paid tribute to her stunt double who tragically died on the film’s set earlier this week .
Professional racer Joi ‘SJ’ Harris passed away after a motorbike stunt went wrong on the set of the movie in Vancouver.
On Thursday, the actress, who plays Domino in the Marvel blockbuster, penned a handwritten not that began: “On Monday we tragically lost one of our own – Joi ‘SJ’ Harris.
“My heart has been breaking the last two days and I have been searching what to say or do.”
She continued: “I know that what I feel is nothing to what her loved ones, friends and family are feeling.
“My heart and my love goes out to her and them all. The cast and crew send peace, healing, and their deepest condolences.”
Zazie’s statement follows on from Ryan Reynold’s moving tribute that he shared earlier in the week.
The Hollywood star wrote: “Today, we tragically lost a member of our crew while filming Deadpool.
“We’re heartbroken, shocked and devastated…. but recognise nothing can come close to the grief and inexplicable pain her family and loved ones must feel in this moment.
“My heart pours out to them – along with each and every person she touched in this world.
Deadpool 2 was the first movie SJ had worked on as a stunt woman following a number of years as a professional road racer.
