Chris Pratt used to do some pretty surprising things to keep from going hungry back when he was struggling to make it as an actor.
In a clip from The Graham Norton Show which aired on BBC in the United Kingdom, the funny guy talked about how he used to wait tables at a ‘terrible restaurant’ in Beverly Hills.
Unfortunately the tips weren’t very good, according to the leading man, so he’d eat the leftovers off of the plates of his customers because he wasn’t making enough to buy his own food.

The co-star of the upcoming movie Passengers explained: ‘That’s how I ate. I had no money.
‘No one was coming to the restaurant so I wasn’t making any tips. It was really a place I’d go to eat.’

Pratt shared one story of how he nearly got caught by one customer.
The hungry young actor panicked when a woman surprised him by asking for a doggy bag after he’d already eaten the remaining 14 ounces of the 32 ounce porterhouse steak he had recommended for.
It worked out well for him, though. He made up a story about it being thrown out and then had the cook make a new one. Lucky for him the woman had to leave before it was done, so he scored an extra meal to go that day.

It’s hard to imagine the award winner ever had to struggle to make ends meet.
That’s not the case any more, though.
Celebrity Net Worth estimated the former server to be worth $ 30 million. And that’s in addition to the estimated $ 20 million in net worth of his hilarious wife of seven years, Anna Faris.

The television-turned-movie star has been acting consistently since 2002 when he landed the role of athlete Bright Abbott in the tv series Everwood.
His latest movie, Passengers, will be released in theaters on December 21.
Pratt has been making the rounds to promote the film, most recently in Moscow.
